WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BUYING THE FULL ALBUM AND BUYING TRACKS INDIVIDUALLY?
Buying the full album is where the album is bought altogether. For example iTunes has a 'complete the album' option at purchase, however, this method is not encouraged for USA / CANADA because title-track purchases will count towards the Billboard Hot 100 (singles) chart.
FOR USA + CANADA ONLY:
Buying the title-track x1 = 1 Single Sale
Buying the title-track x10 = 1 Album Sale
Buying all tracks on the album separately (including title-track) = Singles + Album sale
